SKU visibility measurement worksheet
A retail or ecommerce team wants to see which products AI engines mention and which they skip.
Product list
| Product | Aliases and variants | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Driftbay Trail Shoe | Trail Shoe, DB Trail | Footwear |
| Driftbay Daily Pack | Daily Pack, 20L pack | Bags |
Answer log
| Question | Engine | Product mentioned | Brand mentioned | Ambiguous match? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best trail shoe for wide feet | Engine A | Driftbay Trail Shoe | Driftbay | No |
| Best everyday backpack under a set budget | Engine B | none | Driftbay | Yes, "Daily" matched a different product |
Rules for matching
A product counts only when the answer names the product or a listed alias. A brand mention alone is logged as a brand mention, not a product mention. Ambiguous matches are logged and reviewed by hand, not counted automatically.
What the worksheet cannot show
Retailer pages that an engine cites are sources, not the brand's own product pages. Product-level rates rest on fewer answers than brand-level rates, so they move more between runs.
